On November 22, MNET MAMA AWARDS held its first day award ceremony in the US. They announced that the “Visa Fans Choice” daesang would be revealed after the live voting commenced. But mid way through, Mnet changed the criteria.
Park Jimin of BTS was then announced as the winner of the “Visa Fans Choice” daesang. But it was questionable how he won when another Hybe label mate, Enhypen, were #1 each and every voting round.
The reason why Enhypen fans started to protest is because Mnet was transparent in round 1 and removed Jimin’s fraudulent votes.
But round 2 voting results were never announced. Many fans started to question the results of the live voting and demand Mnet to reveal the voting results for fairness and transparency like they have done before. But BTS fandom, ARMY and Park Jimin solo fandom became vile and toxic at anyone asking for clarity on how he won.
Park Jimin solos, however, took it a step too far and doxxed a female fan on an adult website.
ARMY condone Jimin’s solos behavior and enables the toxicity they bring to the point that someone is now emotionally scared by having their image on adult websites.
It should not have gone this far over an award. All everyone wants is transparency if there is nothing to hide.
