According to IZE’s verification on November 6th, the KBS music review results released today determined that “CLIK CLAK,” one of the double title tracks from BABYMONSTER’s first full-length album “DRIP,” was unsuitable for broadcast.
When a song receives an unsuitable rating from the KBS music review board, artists can modify or delete the problematic parts and request a re-evaluation. Songs must receive approval to be broadcast on KBS programs (TV, radio, etc.).
“CLIK CLAK” was deemed unsuitable due to “lyrics that violate Broadcasting Review Regulation Article 46 (Restriction of Advertising Effects) by mentioning specific product brands.” Meanwhile, “DRIP,” the other double title track, received approval. Additionally, the album’s other tracks including “Love, Maybe,” “Really Like You,” “BILLIONAIRE,” “Love In My Heart,” “Woke Up In Tokyo (RUKA & ASA),” and “BATTER UP (Remix) – Bonus Track” were all approved.
Notably, “CLIK CLAK” was pre-released before the full album’s debut. The music video, which was released on YouTube at 1 PM last month on October 30th, received significant attention by reaching 10 million views within just 21 hours.
BABYMONSTER made their comeback with their first full-length album “DRIP” on November 1st. The group plans to actively promote across various platforms, including music shows and radio programs.
In other news from the KBS music review results, Balming Tiger’s “Cunning City” was deemed unsuitable due to lyrics containing profanity, slang, and vulgar expressions. Additionally, Snake Chicken Soup’s “K!LL ME” was rejected for lyrics that glorify physical and mental abuse and contain disturbing content, while Pouch Peach’s “Cliche” was deemed unsuitable for violating Broadcasting Review Regulation Article 46 (Restriction of Advertising Effects) by mentioning specific product brands.
