According to the latest rankings released by Billboard on March 19 (for the week ending March 22), Jennie’s first full-length solo album “Ruby” debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, while its title track “like JENNIE” entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 83.
Additionally, Jennie landed two more tracks on the Hot 100: “Handlebars” at No. 80 and “ExtraL” re-entering at No. 99.
With this achievement, Jennie becomes the first K-pop female solo artist to have three songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100. Notably, a total of five songs from “Ruby” – “like JENNIE,” “Mantra,” “Love Hangover,” “ExtraL,” and “Handlebars” – made it onto the chart. Including “One of the Girls,” her collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie now holds the record for the most songs (six in total) on the Billboard Hot 100 by a K-pop female solo artist.
Furthermore, “like JENNIE” ranked No. 3 on Billboard ‘Global (Excluding U.S.)’ chart and No. 5 on Billboard Global 200, dominating multiple global charts and reaffirming her status as an international powerhouse.
Jennie continues to break records with “Ruby.” The album recorded the highest first-week sales (661,130 copies) for a K-pop female soloist this year and debuted at No. 3 on the UK Official Albums Chart, marking the highest ranking for a K-pop female solo artist.
Jennie is proving her immense influence as a solo artist, not only by setting unprecedented records on major global charts but also by redefining the standards for K-pop soloists on the international stage.
