BLACKPINK’s Rosé Dissed YG Entertainment Regarding Solo Songs?

Recently, BLACKPINK’s Rosé dropped the new solo song “APT.”, where she collaborated with global pop star Bruno Mars, and has been releasing content related to the song ever since.

Particularly, the female idol had an interview with Z100, where she was asked if she had thought about what she wanted to do on stage.

Responding to this, Rosé answered, “To be honest, cause I haven’t had 12 songs in my life before, only had 2 right, I had to kind of live it out a little bit.”

According to Rosé, she has also been experimenting and can’t wait to perform her many new songs to fans, but only when it feels right.

Hearing this sharing from Rosé, specifically the “diss” that YG has only ever let Rosé release 2 solo songs (not counting ones included in BLACKPINK’s albums), netizens and fans alike were angered. According to them, BLACKPINK was basically “held back” by YG Entertainment and not granted creative freedom, while other male artists under the company got to do so.

“Seeing them this year doing their things and successful at that, I really don’t understand why YGE/Teddy held them back”, a netizen wrote, adding, “You can tell that they can do it themselves. Why can’t they just give them that freedom, just like what they did with their male artists”.

“Poor girl, you were supposed to have more (songs) as a soloist who has debuted for years. Fuck YG”, another lamented.

Meanwhile, the same interview also shows Rosé expressing her gratitude for fellow BLACKPINK members, who never fail to show her support in her artistic ventures.
