BTS’ V’s ‘Layover’ continues to fly off the shelves as it sells out again in the UK and US

V (Kim Taehyung) of BTS‘ first solo album, ‘Layover,’ continues to demonstrate its immense global popularity as it repeatedly sells out in both the UK and the US. Released on October 18, the ‘Layover’ LP has captured the hearts of fans.

On the day of its official release, the ‘Layover’ LP quickly sold out at major UK music retailers, including Record Store UK, Polydor, The Sound of Vinyl, and the BTS Official UK Store.

This marks the second time the album has sold out, as it initially ran out of stock shortly after pre-orders began on August 20. By October 19, additional UK retailers, including Horizons Music, Hive, WHSmith, SOKOLLAB, and Kyyo, had sold out of the album, bringing the total number of sold-out stores in the UK to nine.

The album‘s popularity isn’t confined to the UK; it has also made waves in the United States. The ‘Layover’ LP sold out on the Barnes & Noble online store on its release date and has previously sold out at Target, Tower Records, and Elusive Disc. It has also been a bestseller at official stores like the BTS USA Official Store and Weverse Official US Store, with Target experiencing three separate sellouts.

In addition to these achievements, the ‘Layover’ LP currently ranks first on the bestseller lists of major US retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.

The album has also seen impressive demand in Japan, where it sold out at the BTS Official Japan Store and Universal Music Japan just one day after pre-orders began. It has frequently sold out since then, securing the No. 1 position on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking and ranking first on Amazon Japan’s imported album ranking. In Korea, it has topped the real-time bestseller list in the CD/LP category on Yes24 and dominated the overall bestseller category on Aladdin.
