On Nov 30th, the Melon Music Awards 2024 (hereinafter referred to as MMA 2024) was held at Incheon Inspire Arena.
aespa was awarded the Best Female Group title. During the presentation, Eom Ji-yoon, who served as the award presenter, accidentally dropped the trophy intended for aespa. In an effort to rectify the situation, she knelt down and handed the trophy to the group, creating a moment that drew significant attention.
Winter said, “Winning the Best Female Group award is truly an honor. Thank you so much to our company staff, MYs and aespa members who worked so hard. We’ll strive to become even better next year, so please keep supporting us. Thank you.”
Ningning expressed her joy, “Thank you so much to our MYs. We’ve received so much love this year, and we’ll continue to work even harder moving forward.“
In the Best Male Group category, RIIZE took home the trophy.
Wonbin shared, “Thank you to MMA for giving us this award, and to everyone at Wizard Production. Most of all, thank you to our beloved BRIIZE. We know how much effort you put into helping us receive this award. We’ll always remember your support and strive to be a RIIZE you can be proud of.”
Shotaro followed with his own gratitude, “To our BRIIZE, thank you so much. It’s such an honor to receive this precious and incredible award. We worked hard this year, and we’ll work even harder next year. Knowing that BRIIZE voted and cheered for us makes this award even more meaningful. Please continue to support us as we plan to release albums and do more activities next year.”
