Go Min Si is confirmed to lead a new film.
On November 6, media outlets reported that Go Min Si will be the main lead of the upcoming movie titled Master of the World. The film will be the next work of the award-winning director Yoon Ga Eun.
Go Min Si’s agency Mystic Story Entertainment confirmed the reports through the media outlet Daily Sports. According to the agency, “Go Min Si is confirmed to lead the new film Master of the World. Director Yoon Ga Eun expressed her admiration for actress Go Min Si and offered her a role. The actress then decided to join the film.”
Master of the World will tell the story of an ordinary 18-year-old high school who one day experiences something unexpected.
This will be the comeback project of director Yoon Ga Eun. The director is known for winning several awards at the 2012 Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival, the 2016 Blue Dragon Film Awards, and more.
Go Min Si will portray the role of Lee Joo In, the main character of the film.
According to reports, Master of the World has begun filming. There is no official confirmation yet on the release date of the upcoming movie.
This will be the grand comeback of Go Min Si on the big screen and this will also be her first time to lead a movie.
In 2023, she starred in the hit film Smugglers and won the Best New Actress award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. She also made an impact in her previous films Decision to Leave, The Battle: Roar to Victory, The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, and more.
Aside from the upcoming movie, Go Min Si will also star in the new K-drama Your Taste alongside Kang Ha Neul, Kim Shin Rok, and Yoo Soo Bin.
This year, Go Min Si impressed everyone with her performance in the Netflix original K-drama The Frog. She also returned to the new season of Sweet Home Season 3.
