Ji Chang-wook Shows Off Connection with Kim Jong-kook at the Gym

On the 29th, the YouTube channel ‘Gym Jong-kook’ released a video titled ‘GYM Jong-kook, GYM Chang-wook, GYM Jong-seo.’

In the video, Kim Jong-kook commented on Ji Chang-wook, who is also a member of the same gym, saying, “He’s not someone who works out with intense passion but rather comes regularly for maintenance, so he doesn’t nag like other idol juniors.”

Ji Chang-wook revealed, “I used to hear a lot from Jong-kook about not working out. Have you ever seen me work out? I can’t even find a gap to ask for advice because he works out with such fit people.” His comment brought laughter.

Regarding Ji Chang-wook’s return as ‘Ussi Wanghu,’ Kim Jong-kook asked, “Chang-wook, you’ve done historical dramas before, don’t you get to avoid body management in those?”

Ji Chang-wook responded, “It’s been almost 10 years since I did one. There’s some exposure involved. But it’s a bit challenging because it’s set in Goguryeo, and I’m worried about managing my body like a fitness trainer.”

Ji Chang-wook added, “It’s painful to suddenly get in shape. I think I should go to the gym at least twice a week.” He mentioned that he works out quite intensely, which prompted Kim Jong-kook to compliment him, saying, “He has naturally good shoulders. Even without working out, he has a good frame. He’s handsome in the face, but his body is also well-built.”

When Kim Jong-kook asked if Ji Chang-wook had a great body when he played a spy, Ji Chang-wook explained, “I lived with a trainer back then. We managed everything including diet and exercise together.” He also mentioned that he recently started boxing.

Ji Chang-wook, who reportedly drinks 5 liters of coffee, said, “I read that decaf is worse for health.” Kim Jong-kook laughed and asked, “Do you drink 5 liters of caffeine? Do you sleep well?” Ji Chang-wook admitted that he often struggles with sleep and realized it might be because of the coffee, which elicited laughter.

Kim Jong-kook expressed his affection for Ji Chang-wook as a school junior. Ji Chang-wook shared, “I always saw banners of hyung (older brother) since middle and high school. It’s a point of pride for teachers. They talk about him like a legend.” Kim Jong-kook responded, “You didn’t like me when you were in school,” and Ji Chang-wook confirmed, “Yes,” which made everyone laugh.
