Actor Jung Woo-sung and model Moon Ga-bi have reportedly become parents as of last March, making for a surprising revelation given that there had been no prior rumors of dating or marriage between the two.
In particular, according to initial reports on November 24th, Moon Ga-bi gave birth to a son in March, with Jung Woo-sung identified as the father. The two are said to have first met in 2022, and Moon Ga-bi reportedly became pregnant in June of last year. While Jung Woo-sung is expected to take responsibility for raising the child, the two do not plan to marry.
In response to this news, Jung Woo-sung’s agency confirmed that the child is his biological son, stating, “The child that Moon Ga-bi revealed through SNS is indeed Jung Woo-sung’s biological child. We are currently discussing the best way to raise the child, and as (the actor) plan to do his best for the child as his father.”
Moon Ga-bi herself shared the news of her son’s birth on her Instagram on November 22. She expressed her feelings, saying, “Writing this publicly as a mother now, not just sharing my personal story, fills me with nervousness and worry. But I have gathered the courage to embrace a more ordinary happiness as a mother.”
She continued, “The news came so suddenly, and I wasn’t prepared at all. Instead of fully celebrating the joy of pregnancy, I spent most of it quietly, blessed by my family’s support. This choice was entirely for the sake of my child.”
Moon Ga-bi added, “I want to show my child the bright and beautiful world I once saw, and I realized I needed courage to do so.”
She also addressed potential questions from the public, stating, “By sharing my story, I feel a bit more at ease. A simple ‘congratulations’ is more than enough. I will take one step at a time alongside this little one who has gifted me a new world.”
On the other hand, Moon Ga-bi, who was born in 1989, is 16 years younger than Jung Woo-sung.
