On December 4, JYP announced, “On November 27 (KST), the U.S. weekly magazine TIME and the German market analysis firm Statista revealed the ‘World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025.’ In the Technology, Media & Services sector, JYP ranked 3rd globally and 1st in South Korea, making it the only Asian company to enter the Top 10.”
The two companies ahead of JYP were Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente and Grenergy Renovables, both in the utilities sector, which ranked 1st and 2nd respectively. Following JYP in the rankings were Intuit (4th), a U.S. company in the Technology, Media & Services sector, and Beazley (5th), a UK firm in the Insurance, Healthcare, and Social Services sector.
The rankings for “World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025” evaluate 500 companies worldwide that excel in maintaining strong financial stability while achieving outstanding performance in sustainable development. TIME and Statista determined the final rankings based on combined scores for revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental impact, assigning equal weight to each factor (out of 100 points). JYP scored an impressive 93.66 points.
Statista explained, “JYP achieved high scores across all categories: revenue growth rate, financial stability, and sustainability. Particularly notable is its significant use of eco-friendly energy and inclusion in the top 5% of companies based on low carbon emissions. It is rare for a company to achieve such balanced performance across all metrics.”
JYP’s commitment to sustainability has been widely recognized. In 2023, it received the highest ESG rating (AA) among domestic K-pop entertainment companies in the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG evaluation. Furthermore, in 2022, JYP became the first domestic entertainment company to publish a sustainability report documenting its ESG efforts and activities, leading the way toward a sustainable future.
In June this year, JYP released its third sustainability management report, detailing the results of its double materiality assessment. This evaluation considers both the impact of business activities on the environment and society and the financial implications of sustainability issues on corporate operations.
Under the leadership of J.Y. Park, JYP and its artists have actively contributed to society through initiatives under the vision “Every Dream Matters!: All Dreams are Precious.” Programs include the “EDM Medical Expense Support Project,” “EDM Volunteer Activities,” and “Love Earth,” which aim to support children’s dreams and create healthier living environments.
Additionally, on November 30, JYP launched the “JYP Basketball Tournament,” an amateur charity basketball event aimed at supporting medical expenses for underprivileged children. All participation fees from the event are donated to Samsung Medical Center to fund treatment for disadvantaged pediatric patients. JYP is further contributing with additional donations, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility.
