On Oct 22nd, Nam Tae-hyun posted several photos on his social media account with the caption, “fuzzz trip.”
The photos showed Nam Tae-hyun on an overseas trip. He appeared with playful expressions, giving off a bright and lighthearted vibe.
This marks the first update from Nam Tae-hyun in four months since he was accused by Seo Min-jae of being involved in “revenge porn” back in June.
Previously, Seo Min-jae revealed, “There was someone I loved before. He sent me texts saying that by exposing our dark secrets on SNS, I ruined his life, and he would make sure that neither I nor my family would ever be able to lift our heads again.”
She added, “Next, he sent me private photos—photos that he had said were deleted. My heart dropped. I had no choice but to apologize repeatedly, out of fear that something worse would happen. I couldn’t believe the person I knew would act this way.”
She also mentioned “Since it was me who exposed the drug issue through my SNS, I understood why he resented me. That’s why I agreed not to pursue any criminal or civil charges“, hinting that Nam Tae-hyun was the person she was referring to.
In response to the growing controversy, Nam Tae-hyun addressed the situation on his SNS on June 10th, “I’m aware that my ex-girlfriend has been posting about her former boyfriend. It’s regrettable that she is selectively sharing only the faults of the other person while excluding her own story, without considering the context.“
He added, “The content she’s posting is about personal matters between us from 2~3 years ago. There were frequent arguments between us. I swear that I never committed dating violence. Our relationship had its ups and downs, but we recently decided to end it as it was no longer beneficial for either of us.”
Nam Tae-hyun concluded, “I don’t know what else my ex might write about the difficult past we shared, but I have no intention of making any further disclosures or responses about our relationship. I wish her happiness, and I hope she finds peace and can let go of her remaining anger.“
However, Seo Min-jae responded with further claims, insisting she had evidence to back up her allegations. She said, “I’ve just read Nam Tae-hyun’s statement through an article. Regrettably, he’s making me out to be a liar by claiming that the stories I’ve shared about the dating violence I experienced are one-sided and untrue.“
Seo Min-jae added, “I have all the text messages, video captures, witness statements and medical diagnoses proving the physical abuse. I find it baffling how someone who has caused so much harm can tell me to ‘let go of my anger and find peace’. Given everything Nam Tae-hyun has done, I can’t believe he’s genuinely wishing for my happiness.”
Last year, Seo Min-jae wrote several posts on SNS exposing her ex-boyfriend Nam Tae-hyun’s drug use. The two are currently on trial for administrating methamphetamine together at Seo Min-jae’s house in Yongsan-gu, Seoul in August. The prosecution demanded a 2-year imprisonment for Nam Tae-hyun and 1.5-year imprisonment for Seo Min-jae. The sentencing hearing will take place on January 18th.
Due to the drug case, Seo Min-jae lost her job as a car mechanic at a large company. Through the media, she confessed, “I lost everything I had, like my stable job, and the image I had, though it’s hard to call it my honor, has also been ruined. My family members also lost their jobs”.
