Nana and Chae Jong-seok Dating? From MV Couple to Real Love

On December 5, a representative from Nana‘s agency commented on the dating rumors between the idol-actress and model Chae Jong-seok, stating, “It is difficult to confirm as it pertains to the actress’s private life.”

Similarly, a representative from Chae Jong-seok’s agency told media outlet My Daily, “This is part of the model’s private life, so we are unable to provide additional comments.”

Earlier that day, media outlet Sports Kyunghyang reported on dating rumors involving Nana and Chae Jong-seok. According to the report, the two traveled together to Bali, Indonesia, in June, and some of Chae Jong-seok’s acquaintances have been following Nana on Instagram.

In October, Nana and Chae Jong-seok were also seen attending a brand event together in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong, further fueling speculation. 

From “Acting Partners” in MV to Real Love

Previously, Nana and Chae Jong-seok appeared together in the music video for Baek Z Young’s song “Indeed, It Was Love” released on December 2. Their performance, which included a steamy bed scene, drew significant attention.

In particular, the two’s chemistry, which resembled that of “real-life couple”, became a topic of discussion. On top of that, on December 3, Nana shared behind-the-scenes moments from the video on her personal account, including affectionate moments by a campfire.

In the making-of footage for the music video, Nana revealed, “I tried to act with the mindset of ‘this is someone I truly love.’” As it turns out, her performance seems to have been inspired by reality.

Nana, born in 1991, debuted as a member of the girl group After School before transitioning to acting. Most recently, she drew attention for appearing in Netflix’s “Mask Girl”.

Meanwhile, Chae Jong-seok, born in 1997, is a model 6 years younger than Nana.

Industry insiders had reportedly sensed their relationship, stating the pair had been dating for a significant amount of time and are still going strong.
