Netflix’s “Culinary Class Wars” Contestant Seonkyong Longest Called Out K-netizens For Hate Comments

On October 2nd, Seonkyong Longest posted on her Instagram stories 2 photos, which were captures of the hate comments targeted at her on YouTube, calling it cyber bullying. In one photos, she wrote, “This is not even the worst ones. I’m still getting comments like this non stop since last Tuesday. So far over 8000 of them only on one video.

She said in another photo, “Oh, I got on Instagram too. You can see all that on my “Korean Pickled Cucumber” video, the video right before the newest one (onion salad recipe).

In the captures, Korean netizens poured out malicious comments such as “*Oh. I see why. Your mom taught you that way, huh? LOL. Well, in that case, there’s nothing you can do… It’s not your fault” and “Let’s look into ways to die comfortably. Truly an act that betrays human decency, shaking my head. It will bring ruin to even three generations of your family, haha.” One netizen even mocked Seonkyong Longest as a “black-haired foreigner,” referring to her U.S. citizenship which she acquired after marrying her American husband.

Seonkyong Longest is now one of the most controversial contestants on “Culinary Class Wars” due to her lack of teamwork in the show.
