Rosé’s single “APT” in collaboration with Bruno Mars has only been out for 4 days, but its impact has shocked the world. The fun and adorable song has won over a vast number of global music lovers, including the most challenging market, the U.S.
On October 22, it was reported that “APT” had climbed to the 82nd position on the All-Genre chart of Apple Music. This is the highest ranking ever achieved by a female K-pop solo artist in the history of this chart.
Not only that, but “APT” also dominated Spotify’s U.S. chart, jumping 4 spots with 1,579,405 streams. Rosé officially became the first female K-pop solo artist in history to top the U.S. Spotify chart. Previously, only BTS and Jungkook had achieved this as K-pop artists.
Even more notably, “APT” surpassed “Die With A Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars to top Spotify’s global top 50 with over 11,580,358 streams (as of the morning of October 22). Rosé once again made history as the first female K-pop solo artist to achieve this.
Jennie’s “Mantra” and Lisa’s “Moonlit Floor” ranked 9th and 13th, respectively. This marks the first time that three female K-pop solo artists have simultaneously entered the top 15 of Spotify’s global chart, all from BLACKPINK.
Previously, Rosé and Jennie shared the title of being the only female K-pop solo artists to reach the number 2 spot on Spotify’s global chart. However, just one day later, Rosé surpassed her groupmate.

Earlier, right after its release on October 18, “APT” topped both the global and European iTunes song charts. It also conquered the iTunes song charts in 51 regions, including Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, Estonia, France, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Macau (China), Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand… The song also debuted at number 8 on the U.S. iTunes chart, making the 1997-born artist the first Asian female solo artist to secure a spot in the top 10.
Similarly, “APT” held the number 1 position on Melon’s Top 100 (South Korea) immediately after its release and has maintained that position as of the morning of October 22. On other Korean music industry charts like Flo, Genie, and Bugs, no name has been able to surpass “APT.”
With these stats, Rosé and Bruno achieved Real-Time All-Kill (RAK, meaning dominating all charts) in Korea.
“APT” also helped Rosé set the record for the most streamed new song and become the only newcomer to enter the top 10 on Spotify’s global chart, with over 6.85 million streams upon debut (ranking 3rd).
She also claimed the title of “biggest debut for a female K-pop solo artist on Spotify” from Lisa’s “New Woman.”
