Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook to Star in Remake of “Untold Scandal”

According to the broadcasting industry, the film “Untold Scandal” will be reborn as a Netflix series, with Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook taking the leading roles in the remake.

“Untold Scandal”, directed by Lee Jae-yong, is a 2003 film that adapts the French novel “Les Liaisons dangereuses” into a Chosun-era setting. The story revolves around the notorious temptress Lady Cho (played by Lee Mi-sook) and the womanizer Jo-won (played by Bae Yong-joon) as they engage in an impertinent love game to corrupt Lady Jeong (played by Jeon Do-yeon), a young woman of great virtue.

Despite being rated unsuitable for teenagers, “Untold Scandal” attracted over 3 million viewers and won awards at various film awards ceremonies both domestically and internationally, receiving recognition for its artistic quality.

In the series reinterpretation of “Untold Scandal”, Son Ye-jin will play the role of Lady Cho, while Ji Chang-wook will portray Jo-won. The series will be directed by Jung Ji-woo, known for films such as “Happy End”, “Modern Boy”, “A Muse” and “Tune in for Love”.

With the collaboration of Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook generating anticipation, “Untold Scandal” is set to begin filming in March next year.
