On December 24, Song Joong-ki appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U’s “Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon,” ahead of the release of his movie “Bogotá: Land of Last Chance,” which is set to open on December 31.
During the broadcast, Song Joong-ki shared his busy schedule, including promoting the movie “Bogotá” and filming the JTBC drama “My Youth,” set to air in 2025, where he stars alongside actress Chun Woo-hee.
Regarding the recent news of the birth of his daughter, Song Joong-ki expressed that it was the biggest event in his life. He shared his overwhelming emotions, “It’s the biggest thing that has happened to me recently.”
He also took the opportunity to send warm holiday wishes to the listeners, “I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve.”
Song Joong-ki revealed that he had agreed to appear on the show after hearing that Lee Sang-soon, his senior, would be starting a new radio program a few months ago. “When I started promoting my movie, I wanted to see my senior. Also, it was one of my dreams to be a radio DJ, so I wanted to come on because I wanted to,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-soon mentioned that his wife, Lee Hyo-ri, was “very excited” about Song Joong-ki’s appearance, drawing attention to her enthusiastic reaction. Lee Sang-soon later read a message from Lee Hyo-ri that surprised listeners. The message read, “Our Joong-ki looks even more handsome. I love him,” prompting Lee Sang-soon to laugh and ask, “When did he become ‘our Joong-ki’?”
Song Joong-ki shared his thoughts on being a father of two, “Sometimes I still feel a bit overwhelmed, and I get goosebumps. Thankfully, my first child is a son, and my second is a daughter. Having two children feels like happiness multiplied by 200, 2000 times. I feel like my life is now full.”
He also expressed his deep affection for his wife, revealing that she gave birth in Rome, Italy, and that they are currently living apart. “Even though we talk on the phone several times a day, I miss her so much. When I was coming back to Korea, I couldn’t bring myself to leave,” he said.
