Some of the notable actors appearing in Season 2 include T.O.P (former Big Bang member), Jo Yuri (former IZ*ONE member), Im Siwan, and Wi Ha Joon.

Notably, veteran actor Song Young Chang also appears in the trailer. However, this has sparked controversy due to his past scandal.

In September 2000, Song Young Chang was convicted of underage prostitution. He paid $150 to have sex with a 16-year-old girl twice in a car and was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended, and two years of probation.

After his release, Song Young Chang moved to Canada with his family to study English. He appeared in several musicals before returning to Korea. Song Young Chang was the first person to be convicted of underage prostitution in the Korean entertainment industry and was banned from broadcast channels such as KBS, EBS, and MBC.

Previously, Squid Game 2 caused controversy when it featured T.O.P (2 years suspended sentence for drug use), Oh Dal Soo (accused of sexual assault but the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution had expired) and many other actors with personal problems.
