From “Queen Woo” to “Uprising”, Actor Go Han-min Continues Hit Streak

Recently, Go Han-min impressed audiences with the Netflix film “Uprising”, where he played Soichiro, an interpreter for the Japanese general Genshin (played by Jung Sung-il). He left a strong impression during the intense action scene between Genshin and Chun-young (played by Kang Dong-won).

“Uprising” is set during the turbulent times of the Japanese invasions of Korea and follows Jong-ryo (Park Jung-min), the son of a powerful military family, and his servant Chun-young. They become enemies after Jong-ryo becomes a royal officer and Chun-young joins the militia. In the midst of the chaos, Soichiro also made his mark as a standout character.

Prior to “Uprising”, Go Han-min appeared in the action-packed historical drama “Queen Woo”, where Queen Woo struggles to crown a new king within 24 hours after the sudden death of the king, while being targeted by power-hungry princes and the five ruling tribes. Go Han-min played the role of Pa Ya, the second-in-command of the White Tiger Tribe, who obeys the tribe’s leader, Noe-eum (played by Won Hyun-jun), bringing a tense atmosphere to the story.

His diverse roles in dramas like “Hospital Playlist 2”, “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy”, “All of Us Are Dead”, and “Parasyte: The Grey” have honed his skills, which are now evident in his standout performances in two of 2024’s most anticipated works.

Go Han-min shared, “I recently greeted viewers as Pa Ya from the White Tiger Tribe in ‘Queen Woo’, and now I have taken on the role of Soichiro in the Netflix film ‘Uprising’. Both are projects I love, and since the characters are so different, I think you’ll enjoy their unique charms. I hope you enjoy the works and remember actor Go Han-min.”

He added, “Both productions were historical dramas. I will continue to work hard to greet you in even more diverse roles in the future. Please show your love and support.”
