Kim Hyun-joong Devotes 3 Months to Corn Farming But Experiences Major Setback “What Do I Do, They’re All Dead”

On August 28th, a video titled “Yes, It’s Corn (EP.20 No Solid Answers)” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “KIM HYUN JOONG.official”.

In the video, Kim Hyun-joong expressed concern, “Isn’t the soil too poor? The entrance to my land has disappeared.” His field was overgrown with weeds, resembling a jungle.

Kim Hyun-joong revealed that most of the corn had died, exclaiming, “The corn is almost all dead. This can’t be eaten. It’s mini corn. What should I do?” Fortunately, some tomatoes grew.

He remarked, “I guess I’m more suited for tomato farming. What am I going to do with all the dead corn?” The village chief explained, “It’s not that they died; you missed the harvest time. If you plant corn densely, fewer weeds will grow.”

Kim Hyun-joong then decided to start by cutting the surrounding weeds. He determined “I’ll harvest the surviving corn and save what I can“, but found that the inside of the corn had rotted.

When he discovered stunted mini corn, he threw it down in frustration, lamenting, “Why did it grow like this?” He later found a section where some corn had survived.

Though he tried to pick out the decent corn, he ended up discarding it, finding it either bug-eaten or rotten. Reflecting on the experience, Kim Hyun-joong said “It feels a bit empty“, thus concluding his three-month farming endeavor.
