In the final episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “The Judge from Hell,” aired on the 2nd, the character Kang Bit-na (played by Park Shin-hye) is brought back to life. Kang Bit-na is revived with the blessing of a divine being. She is Gabriel’s (Kim Young-ok) final righteous yet pitiable soul to save. Meanwhile, Jung Tae-kyu (Lee Kyu-han) stabs the lawyer who helped him escape and flees, unaware that his final judgment awaits him.
Kang Bit-na starts hunting Jung Tae-kyu, who has been selecting his victims as if he were shopping. She forces him to face Jung Jae-gul (Kim Hong-pa), who then transforms into his true form, Satan (Park Ho-san), and strikes Jung Tae-kyu.
The final showdown takes place at Han Da-on’s (Kim Jae-young) house, where Kang Bit-na cuts Jung Tae-kyu’s left wrist, mirroring the harm he inflicted on Han Da-on’s family. When Kang Bit-na tells him, “They were just ordinary people, living their lives day by day,” Jung Tae-kyu dismisses her, saying, “No one cares about these old, long-past crimes. Your shouting is just boring and tiresome.” Kang Bit-na replies, “Then I’ll remember them myself, for a long, long time. That’s my way of comforting those unjustly killed. And the real comfort starts now,” as she targets his remaining shoulder and ankle.
Dressed in prison clothes, Jung Tae-kyu finally cries, “Stop,” but Kang Bit-na retorts, “Don’t say ‘stop’ to me,” and continues. Eventually, Jung Tae-kyu begs, “Please spare me. Please.” Kang Bit-na says, “Apologize to the innocent victims whose lives you stole, and to the grieving families who have suffered.” When Jung Tae-kyu finally apologizes, she says, “Apology is a duty, but forgiveness isn’t. Learn that well in Hell. There’s no death penalty there, so you’d better be prepared.” She then sends him to Hell, inflicting pain until the very end.
Han Da-on wishes to stay with Kang Bit-na, saying, “When your mission is over, you have to go back to Hell, right? Don’t go. Or let me go with you.” Kang Bit-na replies, “I don’t have to go for now. I’ve got a three-year vacation.” She adds, “Humans, without knowing what lies ahead, make eternal promises. I can’t promise forever, but here’s my promise: I’ll endure the endless years with the memories we make. So, for me, please be happy for these three years.”
