[theqoo] SPENT 60 MILLION WON ON HYBE IDOL EVENT THAT ENDED AFTER 9 MINUTES

People who won tickets to a special event for idols under HYBE expressed their anger as the event ended in a short time without being properly conducted.
According to a victims’ group on the 23rd, the sunglasses company Speculum, where SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and The8 are ambassadors, held a special event in September for 50 winners. However, the victims claimed that the scheduled event was not carried out properly and that the company is avoiding their complaints, sparking controversy.
The event was announced to be for 50 winners, with some claiming that the total amount spent by some winners exceeded 63 million won (~$47K USD).

However, the photo wall event, which was supposed to take place on the day, was blocked by event materials, making it hard to view. The victims also claimed that a special video screening did not occur without prior notice. Additionally, unlike other events that typically last 30 minutes to an hour, this event reportedly only lasted 9 minutes from the idols’ appearance to their exit.
It was also noted that, although the event was supposed to be limited to 50 winners, additional winners from China were invited to participate, and more time was allocated to a pre-event with influencers before the main event.
Speculum acknowledged some shortcomings in the event’s execution and promised compensation, but the victims stated they have yet to receive any further response.

5. But isn’t this the fault of the host company?
6. That company has low sales so how did they even manage to have Seventeen as models?
7. Their sales did’t even amount to 100 million won (~$72K USD) last year last year so why would they accept a contract from them? I think that Pledis is at fault too here
8. It’s my first time hearing about that brand. Are they famous?????
9. What’s more is that they haven’t even gave their goods yet. Nobody knows when they will give it
10. Why don’t just call them “Seventeen”? Why say “HYBE idol”?
